We went out from Redlands on the ferry to McLeay Island on the weekend. The inlaws are looking to purchase a holiday property on the island, so we drove around looking at blocks of land and houses. Problem is Ros is very specific about what she wants, and when your looking for a site with a view of the water, unless your down at the water's edge, your out of luck. It's not a very elevated island, and its not that big. I think she has a couple that have caught her eye, although its more a case of a glimpse of water through the trees. Still its not a very big island, so you could probably walk down to the water. I don't think I'm keen on getting in, judging by the section in the guidebook about the sharks in the area, they could be a bit of a problem.
