So the cats are now settled into their new vastly larger home. We finally picked up the flatpack for the new cat house, and assembled it after work. It's basically a wire mesh house, with some inside shelves and ledges. The instructions left a lot to be desired, and it took us a little while to figure out how everything went together - no diagrams to follow, just a useless video to watch. Does anyone still have a VCR in this century? It's surprisingly heavy so I guess we won't have to worry about the cats blowing away, but it could be a bit of a challenge when we move in to the studio in a week or two to move it again. The cats are much happier now they are able to down on the grass for a run, and can climb up to their ledges where they have their beds. They took to it surprisingly well, and we didn't have any of the fretting that Salem has been showing for a few weeks after the move.
